HappyCow - Vegan Food Near You App Reviews

I discovered Happy Cow some years ago when looking randomly for some vegan restaurant on Google. This app is amazing and makes my trips much easier, since I dont need to look long for some place which will serve vegan meals for me. I just need to search on the app and go to the restaurant. With this app I found amazing vegan/vegan-friendly places in different cities.

I really really love the HappyCow website and the idea in general, but I think this app could need some improvement. It is (no doubt) great for finding quick nearby options while traveling, but when it comes to planning ahead and looking for the BEST places, the sorting system doesnt calculate in how many reviews were made. So as the "best place to go" Im often suggested a café with just a single review, and that just does not do it for me, sorry..

A must-have app for vegans/vegetarians, which makes finding good food in new cities so much easier :)

I travel a lot and HappyCow makes it so easy for me to find places to eat. I love that you can search by city, allowing me to look up a location before I arrive there. Searching by location once Ive arrived is also very handy. Love that it gives natural food stores as well as restaurants--sooo helpful if, like me, youre prone to forgetting to pack a product or snack that is difficult to find in regular grocery stores.

Good for nearby locations but impossible to search about another country ?!? Use the website instead and dont lose time and money with this app.

Great app, looks good, easy to use and so convenient to be able to see whats nearby.

This is everything I expected of an app to help me find a place to eat (as a vegetarian who will soon convert to vegan). The only thing Id like to improve is to have distances in km instead of mile - not a big deal

Ive used the Happy Cow website for years and loved it. This app has a lot listed, but when in a new city it really needs to have a good map feature to be useful. For example I was recently in London, which has hundreds of listings, but not knowing the area it was really hard to look at a list of addresses and guess what might be near my hotel. Searching for each address in a separate "maps" app is time consuming and impractical. Also to assist with planning a trip (before arriving) nice to be able to put in a desired address halfway around the world and not just have the app assume you are looking for food near where you are *right now.* I will watch for user-friendly updates with great interest. Thank you Happy Cow for your great website and database, and for your efforts to improve this app for us vegetarians on the go.

I really love this app... Especially when traveling. It has been a life-saver on several occasions and is also just fun to look at and read. My two suggestions are as follows: Allow users to edit or delete their own posted reviews after posting. I have accidentally given places the wrong "star" rating and have no way of deleting or changing the review. Make it easier for users to add locations. While the app list is quite extensive, there are so many great places missing!

This app and Google maps made traveling to Europe a breeze. This app led us to so many awesome places. Its an absolute must have if you travel. Thank you Happy Cow! My stomach and body thank you for keeping me fed and nourished with healthy vegan food.

This app has saved my young family on many occasions as we traveled throughout Europe. Nothing is worse than crying hungry children surrounded by restaurants and nothing suitable to eat. The map (and blue dot) feature follows us even out of wifi range if it is left on, somehow. This has helped us navigate and of course find great places to eat. I always tell the restaurant how I found them and show them the app on my iPod. I enjoy reading the reviews and writing my own. Keep up the good work by checking every restaurant suggestion made by users!
